Are offshore cold callers good for real estate?
They can be, if the caller is trained, supervised, and judged on recordings and results rather than location. The honest trade is cost against friction. Offshore callers cost a fraction of US callers, but accent, time zone, and oversight need active management. US callers remove some friction and add a lot of cost.
| Offshore caller | US caller | |
|---|---|---|
| Pay (sourced below) | About $3 to $8 an hour posted | $17.04 an hour median (BLS, May 2025) |
| Accent and rapport | Varies by person, test it | Usually easiest for US sellers |
| Hours | Shifted to cover US calling hours | Local hours |
| Compliance | Same US rules apply | Same US rules apply |
| Management | Needs strong QA and recordings | Needs strong QA and recordings |
What does an offshore cold caller cost compared with a US caller?
On posted pay, offshore is roughly one fifth to one half of the US median. On the OnlineJobs.ph real estate cold calling category page, postings dated October 31 to November 3, 2026 listed base pay such as $3-4 an hour plus bonuses, $4 to $8 an hour, $4.00 to $5.00 an hour, and $5 an hour plus a $500 bonus per closed property. The BLS reports a median of $17.04 an hour for telemarketers (May 2025).
| Monthly, 40 hours a week (about 173 hours) | Hourly pay | Pay per month |
|---|---|---|
| Offshore, low end of postings | $3 | $520 |
| Offshore, high end of postings | $8 | $1,387 |
| US telemarketer, BLS median | $17.04 | $2,953 |
That is arithmetic on pay alone. HousingWire (October 6, 2026) puts a published rate for a dedicated full-time virtual ISA at $1,988 per month and other managed offshore providers at $1,600 to $3,000 per month, and notes you still add a dialer ($150 to $400+ per month), a list service ($100 to $300+), and management time. Call Savvys starts at $1,200 per month for one caller with the dialer, QA, and CRM included. See how much to pay a cold caller.
How big a problem is accent?
It depends on the caller and the seller, and the only way to know is to listen. Real estate sellers decide in seconds whether a voice sounds trustworthy and local. Some offshore callers sound neutral and warm, and some do not. Some US callers sound rushed. No study we found separates offshore from US callers on real estate outcomes, so treat any claim that one is always better as marketing. Judge a specific caller on recordings and on connection-to-lead results.
What do the rules say about calling from another country?
The same federal rules apply to a caller outside the United States who calls a US number. Calling hours are set by the called party, not the caller: no telephone solicitation to a residence before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m. at the called party's location (47 CFR 64.1200(c)(1)). The FCC's caller ID rule names callers outside the US directly: it covers any person or entity outside the United States if the recipient is within the United States (47 CFR 64.1604). Telemarketers must also transmit their caller ID (47 CFR 64.1601(e), referenced in 64.1604(c)).
Where do Egypt-based callers fit?
Call Savvys uses Egypt-based callers who are fluent in English and have 6 to 12 months of real estate or roofing calling experience. The goal is the cost of offshore with the experience of a caller who has already worked your niche. A dedicated caller works your campaign, with human QA on every call and call recordings included, so you can hear the work yourself.
Plans run $1,200 (Starter, one caller), $2,300 (Growth, two callers), and $3,300 (Scale, three callers) per month, month to month. See pricing and hiring real estate cold callers.
How do you evaluate any caller, offshore or US?
- Listen to recordings. Ask for full recordings from a similar campaign, not a highlight reel.
- Check the opening. The first ten seconds should sound natural, not read.
- Test objections. Listen for a calm answer to "how did you get my number?" and "not interested."
- Measure results. Track connections, qualified leads, and cost per qualified lead after the first weeks.
- Keep the contract short. Month to month lets the results decide.
